WovenThreads
WovenThreads is a free NBA analytics tool built around one idea: box scores don't tell the whole story.
Standard box scores show you what players did across an entire game. WovenThreads breaks games down into stints — the individual stretches when specific lineups were on the floor — so you can see exactly when a run happened, which five players were responsible, and how momentum shifted in real time.
It's built for NBA fans who care about rotations, lineup impact, and the granular story behind the final score. Whether you're settling a debate about a coach's decision, studying how a fourth-quarter comeback actually unfolded, or just deep in the analytics weeds, WovenThreads gives you the data layer that play-by-play alone doesn't.
The site is completely free. Data is sourced from the NBA API and covers the NBA on a go-forward basis from midway through the 2025–26 season.
WovenThreads was built by Daniel Babbitt (@UweBabbitt on X), an NBA fan who wanted this tool and couldn't find it anywhere else.
